Great Divide Ski Area, helena, montana

we could not pass up the chance to ski some great local mountains on our way home from helena. this day a small earth quake opened up a 4 feet wide, 50 feet long and 100 feet deep fissure on the mountain!

this ski area was recently purchased for $350,000 by a new zealander. he's doing a great job of restoring the place. i would DEFINATELY reccommend checking out this hill!

johanna was so proud of the 20# of potatoes we grew, she threw them a party. she placed them lovingly all around the house and sang and danced. some were mingling on the couch.

johanna loves mud puddles!

johanna will criss-cross the road to splash through every mud puddle on our road. she'll walk all the way to mailbox now. every new rock, stick, bird and deer is such a wonder to her.
